This the official web site of the Stewart Creek Estates Homeowners’ Association, Inc. It is provided as a community service by and for the residents of Stewart Creek Estates in Frisco, Texas. The content presented in this web site will include information about community news and events, as well as general information about the City of Frisco and surrounding areas that is of interest to our fellow neighbors.

Established in 2001, Stewart Creek Estates is a premier 298 home subdivision located in Frisco. Less than two miles from major intersection of highway 121 and Dallas north tollway. Our community combines the benefits of modern suburbia with the peace and quiet of family oriented living.

Join Scouting Night

If your son attends Allen Elementary in the 1st thru 5th grades and has an interest in joining Cub Scouts, please make plans to attend Pack 946's "Join Scouting Night" at Bledsoe Elementary on Thursday, September 9th, 2010 at 7 p.m. Pack 946 is the Cub Scout pack that serves Allen and Bledsoe Elementary schools.

Pet Noise

It has been brought to the attention of the SCEHOA BOD that there have been some neighborhood complaints regarding barking dogs. A dog may bark for several reasons. One neighbor has indicated that he was told by police that his barking dogs foiled an attempt to vandalize a vehicle parked in his driveway. If you have outdoor dogs or leave dogs in your yard for an extended period of time, please be considerate of your neighbors.

If dog barking is a nuisance, the City of Frisco recommends that citizens contact their neighbors and see if a reasonable solution can be reached. If that fails, or if you are uncomfortable doing that, call police communications at 972.292.6010 while the barking is going on. An officer will be dispatched. An officer must be able to witness the barking in order to take action. During the workday, animal control may be contacted at 972.292.5303 and they will investigate as well.

As a final alternative, residents can file a complaint in municipal court. This is rarely necessary, but there have been occasions where an officer has not witnessed the barking, thus can't take corrective action.

Slow Down Frisco

Their campaign that has been "in the works" for the past 16 months is officially underway! Whether you have attended SLOW DOWN FRISCO meetings, shared your ideas, or simply encouraged us to continue with this campaign, they could not have done it without your help.

It is their goal to make sure that every single driver in Frisco understands that they put our children at risk when they drive through our residential neighborhoods at high speeds. They cannot spread the word and build city-wide awareness without your help. We ask each of you reading this to PLEASE visit www.slowdownfrisco.org right now and make your "20 Is Plenty!" commitment. It is our responsibility to ensure the safety of our Frisco children!

In addition to making your "20 Is Plenty" commitment, please share this information with as many Frisco friends and family members as you can and ask them to make their "20 Is Plenty" commitment as well. The web site shows how many people have made their commitment to date. Since the site just launched, there are only a small handful of folks who have made their commitment thus far. They want to see that number grow into the thousands but, again, can't do that without YOUR help.

They will soon look to secure local sponsorships and raise funds for our campaign to build the needed awareness.

Frisco Neighborhood Watch needs you!

The Frisco Neighborhood Watch (FNW) program is very successful in assisting with crime control in Frisco and educating citizens on ways to prevent crime. However, the Frisco Police Department is concerned that your neighborhood is not well represented the FNW program and would like to encourage you to participate as a Block Captain or Backup Block Captain. Block Captains act as the focal point for information about crime in your area. Your neighborhood may have a Crime Watch group that is not connected to FNW and we encourage all crime watch groups to be a part of Frisco Neighborhood Watch so we can share resources and information.

Under FAQ is the Frisco Neighborhood Watch Overview which describes the program and includes the Block Captain application on the last page. Information concerning police reports, crime statistics, local events, crime prevention tips etc. can be accessed at the official FNW website at www.frisconeighborhoodwatch.com. Block Captains (or Building Captains in apartments) pass on this and related information via e-mails, through flyers or by face-to-face communication to the residents in their respective communities. FNW promotes a "hands off" approach - members act as an extra set of "eyes" and "ears" for the police department by reporting any suspicious person(s) and/or criminal activity.

FNW also holds monthly meetings on the fourth Monday of each month beginning at the Frisco Police Department (7200 Stonebrook Parkway). Note that due to the holidays general meetings are not held during the months of November and December.

Anyone interested in becoming a Block Captain will need to fill out an application and mail or fax it in to the address/fax number listed. Once an application is processed the applicant will receive an e-mail from an FNW Steering Committee member containing an FNW Block Captain handbook consisting of helpful information that can be used and passed on to residents.

Parking Alert!

Please be considerate of your neighbors when parking on the street. An issue has been raised to the HOA BOD that when residents park on both sides of the street it would be impossible for emergency vehicles to get through. It also creates a hazard for those trying to manuveur through the streets. If your garages are too full to accommodate your vehicles, please park in the driveway. Please remember to face the proper direction when parking on the street.
